Week 5 Awards, Week 6 Power Rankings and Predictions

So many apologies, dear fans and competitors of the league.  But I have been rather sick the last two days that I would normally write these awards, so I'm very, very late in my awards/power rankings/predictions.  Can you forgive me?  Yes?

Will Ryan forgive himself for benching DAW?  Probably not.

Did you know 4 of the top 5 fantasy QB's in the NFL this past week were not starting for your teams?

What's that, Kevin?  You couldn't hear me because Cory was tickling you?  Fair enough.  Read the blurb I just wrote and catch up.

Where were we?  Ah yes.  This is going to be a MUCH shorter post combining all the goodies of the week into one post.  Again, blame my sickness... which included my first ever migraine.  And also blame me watching the first four hours of this season's Heroes tonight.

There has been a great deal of talk regarding the amount of bad trade offers happening in the league this season.  In fact, some might say that now that Kevin has combined with David in the same league, there is a literal epidemic of bad trade offers.  Google had a good idea this week with "Mail Goggles", a program inside GMail that forces you to answer math problems before sending an email.  See the images below and tell me they don't work perfectly together.

Could you imagine how many less trade offers you'd get if this guy had to answer THOSE questions everytime he offered a trade?  What could this do for the league?  Would Kevin be the league hero?  Would respect for his talent be so great that we'd all believe we had no chance against his deft mind?  Maybe.  But sadly... Yahoo! does not have Fantasy Goggles.
Which means David's trade offers endures...

On to the awards!

Power Rankings (Quick Style)

12 (12).  Don - Still winless.  Still the worst scorer.  Still the worst ranking.

11 (10).  Ryan - He might still have a win but in a one for all matchup, I still like Matt over Ryan.

10 (11).  Matt - I don't know what to say, Matt.  You need a freaking win.  Sometime?  Anytime?

9 (9).  Dan - A cheap win over Ryan does not mean redemption.  I need more.  We all know it's there.

8 (8).  Reid - Frick, I don't know.  I guess it's because he deserves it.

7 (7).  Cory - Cory has really bumped it up, but a narrow win over the hapless Kevin isn't yet the ticket to the promised land.

6 (6).  Kevin - I feel like Kevin has angered the fantasy gods somehow.  So close, yet so few wins.  Better wake up and smell the sweet, sweet karma.

5 (3).  STL!!! - I'm over this team.  Sack it up.

4 (4).  David - The best Mexican in all of fantasy football is facing Cory.  We all know Cory's hatred of minorities.

3 (5).  Doug -  Look at Mr. High Scorer finally getting a win.  Perhaps you'll continue this streak against STL!!!  Who am I kidding?  Of course you will.

2 (2).  Jerad - 5-0.  Respect.

1 (1).  Nick - I don't know how, but Mr. Franke is the man this year.  5-0.  CAN YOU DIG IT?

____________________________________________________________

Predictions - Last week I was 4-2, for the season I am 15-9.

Cory vs. David - Cory's luck ends here.  David 120, Cory 95.

Reid vs. Don - I vote for 0-6 for Don.  Reid gets the advantage here.  Reid 110, Don, 80.

Matt vs. Kevin - Kevin bounces back, finally.  Matt... come on... 0-6.  Kevin 105, Matt 100

Ryan vs. Nick - Nick moves to 6-0 with a cakewalk win.  Nick 130, Ryan 100.

Dan vs. Jerad - My upset special.  Dan 120, Jerad 110.

STL!!! vs. Doug - No way Doug loses this game.  Doug 140, STL!!! 100.
