We have several questions leading up to the expansion draft tomorrow. Mainly, will Don and Kevin be reachable to even get this thing going, and will Don shock the world by taking Brady Quinn first?
Well after getting all the keepers in, I think it's safe to say that it's mock expansion draft time. Let's do this. I'll play the role of Don and Kevin, which means that for one shining moment, they are infinitely more successful and attract more than she-males.
1. Don Mothershed - Carson Palmer, CIN. He definitely had a down year, but he has crazy good weapons and is a perrenial threat for 30 TDs and 4,000 yards.
2. Kevin Le Duc - Calvin Johnson, DET. This is a potential HUGE fantasy player. I think Kevin has to make the splash here.
3. Don - Ryan Grant, GB. He might be for real, he might not. But he's the best hope for a big fantasy impact from the RB spot.
4. Kevin - Clinton Portis, WAS. If Kevin doesn't go Derek Anderson at #2, he'll probably not have options nearly as attractive available left, but Portis is a threat for 1200 and 15 TDs.
5. Don - Greg Jennings, GB. Don doesn't have a great deal of RB choices left, so he'll grab Grant's real life teammate to be his future #1 WR. Plus this also knocks out Eli Manning from being picked.
6. Kevin - Roy Williams, DET. Not the best pick for Kevin, but can be potentially great long term if Detroit is not bluffing about not giving him a long term deal. He could easily be a clear cut #1 somewhere else.
7. Don - Brandon Jacobs, NYG. Risky move here, but Jacobs is the lesser of two evils between him and Julius Jones. Could be a big scoring threat at times this year.
8. Kevin - Donavan McNabb, PHI. Do you take the GB DEF instead? It's tough, but if Kevin doesn't take a QB here, it might be a very bad season for him, even if it is McNabb.
9. Don - Dallas Clark, IND. Better of the players between him and Jones. I guess.
10. Kevin - Julius Jones, SEA. Not a horrible pick, especially if everyone on Jones' jock is correct.
Will it go this way? Only God and Don know the truth. Hopefully these guys will actually get this done soon.
